After 35 years as a hospitality leader, Andy now offers bespoke fine dining in the privacy and comfort of client’s homes and holiday homes on the Sunshine Coast.
Andy moved to Sunshine Coast from Sydney 5 years ago, at the suggestion of friend and Noosa chef Peter Kuruvita and made an instant impression as the head chef at Noosa institution – Locale.
From the Bluewater Grill in Bondi with Neil Perry, to Streeton’s in Darlinghurst, the Sports Bar in Bondi and over 10 years at the Bondi Tratt as head chef and partner, Andy has multiple awards and the deep respect of his peers and his many regular diners.
Chef Andy Davies is his new venture, offering restaurant quality dining in private homes. He creates custom menus, be it a sit-down dinner, cocktail party or just a fabulous mid-week meal at home. For those with a great cellar, Andy has matched menus to create a memorable private dining experience.
Andy’s knowledge and experience allows him to focus on the best that Noosa can offer. He takes pride in sourcing the best and freshest of local produce from the Sunshine Coast and working with local growers and suppliers. Even his crockery is bespoke and local – handmade by Noosa ceramic artist Kim Wallace.
Says Andy, “After many years in the restaurant industry, including owning several restaurants and living and working in Noosa, now is the perfect time to launch Chef Andy Davies to continue my journey with food and hospitality and contribute to the community in the way I have always wanted.”
